Summary: ImageReady CS2 crashes on startup Product: Wine Version: 0.9.44. Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wine-gui AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: mikolaj.zalewski@gmail.com
There is a C++ exception after receiving a WM_MOUSEACTIVATE and then after a call to PeekMessageW there is a access violation exception. The C++ exception seems to be the main cause but it's hard if it is and why it is thrown.

Attached hack fixes the crash. It's worth to mention that Alexandre thinks that it's not a proper fix.
With this hack Image Ready is functional for me.

Development recommends to check the status on your bug every release or two and let to be known if the bug is still present. If not, mark it fixed. If you are no longer able to put effort to this ticket, you can abandon it.
Is this still an issue with 1.7.2 or higher ?

My console output is fairly brief, I did a CTRL-C to terminate the process.

I just tested photoshop cs2 yesterday with no issues. I think the title was about imageready cs and imageready cs2.
If someone can point me a download I will test.

--- Comment #18 from Artem S. Tashkinov t.artem@mailcity.com --- I can confirm this bug in Wine 2.3.
Either I get this in console:
err:seh:raise_exception Exception frame is not in stack limits => unable to dispatch exception.
Or ImageReady attempts to start but then shows this error:
"Could not fully start the application. An unknown error has occurred".
Pressing OK in this dialog closes the application.
