--- Comment #1 from Anastasius Focht focht@gmx.net --- Hello Julien,
I installed this app and see a problem with 'DynUpSvc.exe' but not 'DynUpConfig.exe'.
Please generate a trace log:
- no processes running: 'wineserver -k' - "cd" to install folder.

--- Comment #2 from Anastasius Focht focht@gmx.net --- Hello folks,
confirming, I could now reproduce it.
You just have to cancel the 'Dyn Account Information' dialog which pops up on startup to trigger a crash.
Interestingly +relay avoids the crash, but other channels are sufficient enough to show a problem.

The 'Description' property doesn't exist in 'Win32_NetworkAdapterConfiguration' WMI class which could be the culprit here.

--- Comment #3 from Hans Leidekker hans@meelstraat.net --- Created attachment 52858 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=52858 patch
This patch adds that property. It needs more properties from this class though: at least DefaultIPGateway, DNSServerSearchOrder and DHCPEnabled. It's also looking for class Win32_IP4RouteTable, which is not implemented.

So shall we make this ticket about all the missing properties from 'Win32_NetworkAdapterConfiguration' WMI class (Description, DefaultIPGateway, DNSServerSearchOrder and DHCPEnabled) and then separate one which deals with missing 'Win32_IP4RouteTable' WMI class?
I guess you already moved forward and added all those things to check how far it goes until crashes are gone?

Sure.

Some of them ;-) Just adding DefaultIPGateway made the crash go away.

How about upstreaming the patch or merging it with wine-staging? Now it helps only those who can compile wine themselves.
It's no longer needed. Description, DefaultIPGateway, DNSServerSearchOrder and DHCPEnabled are implemented now. I think we can close this bug when testing confirms it's fixed.
