--- Comment #3 from DarkMan der_billyboy@hotmail.com 2013-05-23 18:02:36 CDT --- I should mention, that conglomerate gives the same error as console... Have a look at the Screenshot.
Tried native msxml libs, doesn't work after first trying bulit in libs... But if you delete the xml file it get recreated and i could restart SAM several times without problems...only bug on native msxml is, that the config dialog of SAM doesn't work. Nothing happens on clicking the button, nor an error shows up in console...

Please run a regression test: http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting

--- Comment #5 from DarkMan der_billyboy@hotmail.com 2013-05-23 19:46:47 CDT --- How you could call it not critical? It damages a config file and therefore you have to reedit on each restart all databse, station and other information...
And it doesn't really help an Enduser as me, if you say: Compile it...test it and find the bug your self...As this is the intetion of regression testing in this manner i think.
Wouldn't it be easier if the authors of the last commited msxml changes look at it?

I only updated to wine 1.5.30 and SAM was installed before and worked like it should, but after the update at the second startup it simply freezes on the startup screen of SAM and shows those errors in console. No errors at SAM Shutdown in console at the first time indicating anything got wrong on xml write.
I tested SAM 4.9.2 and 4.9.8 installed in different bottles and get the same issue.

Greetings ^^
I should mention, that i've deleted the old damaged file and let SAM generate a new clean one...
If you need some more details you could send me a Message and we could start a TeamViewer Session... This might speed up things? Eh?

Have you checked it already again? For me it's still not fixed. The error is still present.

I haven't. Ok, got it, it doesn't work in 1.5.31. Did you try to do a regression test?

No, I can't do that.

It's hard to check without a demo. Do you have a link to legitimate location to get this particular version?

I can't reproduce it with this version. It installs fine, and I tried to start/close it a couple of times with no problem. Should I do something specific to trigger this issue, what are the exact steps to reproduce?

I've installed nothing Custom, recheckt through local filesystem and winetricks. I should mention, that i currently on SAM Broadcaster 4.9.8 and it worked for months before i updated to wine 1.5.31.
I have no steps to reproduce, since it runs well until i updated wine.
I've already deleted the SAMBC.core.xml in my bottle path under "/home/darkman/.local/share/wineprefixes/sam2-1/drive_c/users/darkman/Local Settings/Application Data/SpacialAudio/SAMBC/", so it gets recreated after SAM restart. It runs good for the current session, if you copy that file in a backup folder, you could reuse it than later. After first Shutdown of SAM the file gets Damaged oder some syntax error occurs...

--- Comment #21 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com 2013-06-06 11:28:38 CDT --- I can only test clean prefix behaviour, copying files around from/to installed application dirs is not interesting. Does it or does it not fail for you in clean wineprefix with 1.5.31 and fresh installation?

Than you missunderstood... It is clean of course! It's only installed in a bottle

--- Comment #23 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for over a year. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.37 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.37 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).
