Bug ID: 43639 Summary: "Log In" and "Forgot Password" links on main page are broken Product: WineHQ Bugzilla Version: unspecified Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: bugzilla-unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: winehq@der-ingo.de CC: austinenglish@gmail.com Distribution: ---
On the main page https://bugs.winehq.org/ there are two links: - Log In - Forgot Password
I mean the actual links and not the buttons.
The "Log In" link has no effect. The "Forgot Password" link actually changes the "Log In" button above.
Probably those two links are unnecessary. They are confusing at least.
I suggest to either fix them or probably better, remove them.
Cheers, Ingo =;->

--- Comment #1 from Ken Sharp imwellcushtymelike@gmail.com --- They work fine. Please try again in a modern browser. If it's still an issue let us know which browser this fails on.

They work fine. Please try again in a modern browser. If it's still an issue let us know which browser this fails on.
We are both right, but I should have been more precise. Here are the exact steps to reproduce: - Open https://bugs.winehq.org/ in any modern browser - Make sure you are logged out - Click on the "Forgot Password" link (the one in the bullet point list) => This has the effect that the login and password fields in the header section are now hidden and a Login field and a "Reset Password" button is shown. So far, everything is fine.
- Now click on the "Log In" link => This has no effect whatsoever
My expectation was that the login and password fiels re-appear, but they don't and that's exactly the bug I mean.
I have now played a little more with those two links. IMHO they do not provide anything that you couldn't do in the header bar itself with the links there and the red [x] boxes.
So I still suggest to remove them as they have no added value, take up space, are confusing and do not work correctly. But fixing the Log In link is certainly an option, too :)

P.S.: Thanks for coming back to this even after that amount of time :)
