--- Comment #1 from darwinsurvivor@gmail.com 2012-11-02 18:12:18 CDT --- I am getting this in GTA San Andreas. In addition, the logo screens are white (fade to black) and the menus are made of block.

Comment in dlls/wined3d/swapchain.c says that the codepath leading to this FIXME should only be hit with the COPY swapeffect, why it is executed with other swapeffects?
The comment is obsolete, when AlwaysOffscreen is enabled (which is the default setting right now) that codepath is always executed regardless of the swapeffect in use. The FIXME is still valid though, since right now we only use one backbuffer thus not preserving the semantic of FLIP. That said, if there are no rendering glitches this is not really a bug (in the sense "FIXMEs are not bugs").

--- Comment #7 from digitalaudiorock@gmail.com 2013-10-06 14:06:16 CDT --- I'm getting these trying to run the free DVDFab HD Decrypter with wine 1.6 under Gentoo:
http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm
...only after upgrading from DVDFab 9.0.6.3 to 9.0.7.0. See the attached log. What's especially odd is that I've been running DVDFab under wine as long as I can remember through countless versions of wine and DVDFab and never had an issue.
In addition to getting those messages, the DVDFab screen area that's intended to show the task queue and progess bar etc is always either black or scrambled.
When I try to run that version of DVDFab on a system I have running a much older version of wine (1.4) it fails outright after outputting only the following:
err:menubuilder:init_xdg error looking up the desktop directory fixme:mountmgr:harddisk_ioctl Unsupported ioctl 4d004 (device=4 access=3 func=401 method=0) fixme:file:FindFirstFileExW options not implemented 0x00000000 0x00000002 err:ole:CoUninitialize Mismatched CoUninitialize
The older DVDFab version works perfectly even with that version of wine.

--- Comment #8 from digitalaudiorock@gmail.com 2013-10-06 14:14:47 CDT --- Correction to me previous post: I had upgraded to wine 1.6 to see if that would solve this (which it did not). As it turns out, under wine 1.6 I get that log message spam even with DVDFab 9.0.6.3, however it does NOT cause issues with the display in 9.0.6.3.

--- Comment #9 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for over a year. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.37 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.37 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).

--- Comment #10 from digitalaudiorock@gmail.com --- I can't speak for the others who reported this previously, but I've not seen the messages spamming the console in quite some time. As for the other issues I mentioned here running DVDFab, in my case I've discovered they are all specifically when using the nVidia opengl. I'm running Gentoo and if I switch the the xorg opengl those issues all go away, which is what I've been doing to get by.
