--- Comment #1 from Vijayakumar yvijayakumar@aim.com 2007-10-01 02:44:57 --- One more info. In my system only ubuntu7.04 64bit (Feisty Fawn) OS is installed. No version of windows present in the hard disk. When running winecfg, OS automatically logoff the user. How can I run the windows applications with this version of linux?

--- Comment #2 from Juan Lang juan_lang@yahoo.com 2007-10-01 13:32:38 --- Sounds like a bug in your X driver/OpenGL libraries. Reinstall the proper drivers for your video card and try again.
This probably isn't a wine bug - does running glxinfo work for you?

--- Comment #4 from deresik deresik@gmail.com 2007-11-28 04:49:46 --- Same problem on Ubuntu 7.10 64-bit on Acer Extensa 5620z laptop with Intel X3100 onboard. Glxinfo shows that directrendering is working. Wine package installed from official ubuntu repository, graphic card using "intel" driver, notepad and winecfg works, installations also works, but after install, when trying to launch any exe file system logoff immediatelly. Graphic card seems to work fine, system is stable, linux native 3d games works fine, only problem is when starting program through wine. If you need some more info, let me know, i'll try to provide it.

--- Comment #5 from Dmitry Timoshkov dmitry@codeweavers.com 2007-11-28 06:20:57 --- Report this bug to your distribution maintainers. Wine or any other user application should not be able to cause this kind of misbehaviour.
