Steps to reproduce: 1) remove ~/.wine 2) winetricks vcrun2005 2) install ManyCam 3) wine ManyCam.exe 4) get an error 5) see attachment to know where to click
Behaviour: Application quits silently
Expected behaviour: Application should shouldn't quit
In terminal there is only

I tested in a 32bit prefix set to winxp. The program itself installed fine, but it crashes when trying to close. When I then used the steps from the OP, I could open ManyCam.xml just fine.
I'm going to close this ABANDONED, since I can't be sure that it's the same version and other people only used a newer download that didn't even install.
