I do not see an "Identical error message"
This is regression, that is visible as a crash in a 16-Bit Application.
wine-0.9.51 works. Bisect in progress

Both bugs are regressions relating to Acrobat Reader family products.
This here is a regression in an 16-Bit (Windows 3.1) application, that detect and quit with a message on any newer OS Version.
Adobe Reader 3.01 was released many years before msi came out.
