Summary: Race Driver: GRID Sound starts to stutter when .bik video starts to play Product: Wine Version: 1.1.19 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-dsound AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: lukasz.wojnilowicz@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=20642) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=20642) WINEDEBU=+dsound,+wave,+dsound3d
I'm using wine-1.1.19-271-g0a42190 (compiled using gcc version 4.3.2 20081105 (Red Hat 4.3.2-7) ) on Fedora 10 i386.
When video is played the sound starts to stutter and continues to stutter in every place in game. The problem is when video explaining racing modes is played in main menu (the attachment is from starting the game - good sound - and going to video - sound starts to stutter). When video isn't played the sound works correctly. The problem doesn't occur after intro is played.
Video extension is .bik my pulseaudio version is 0.9.14 my winecfg audio is alsa (Hardware Acceleration:Full ; Default Sample Rate: 44100 Default Bits Per Sample: 16 Driver emulation: unchecked)

If program persists reopen

I think it may be bug connected with alsa.

There is no problem with sound when I set audio driver to oss and run 'wine GRID.exe'
Exactly. You haven't completely removed pulseaudio from ALSA. The only guaranteed way is to uninstall it.
