I've been told to report this issue without native DLLs.

The attachment contains the console output (it seems to be related to the

oh im sorry :P

i hope nobody kills me anyways for spamming bugzilla with bugreports. (its my
first time reporting im sorry). I would like to write a patch for that as i
know some c++ but I've no clue where to start as i never worked with wines
source (no that its messy, its just biiiig :P)

The error from ole just means that some object doesn't implement the IStream
interface.  We don't know what object that is.

Try attaching a +relay log to see if we can guess where it's coming from.

Well, first of all you should fill the missing gaps in the bug report:
 - You should put the ICQ version into the bug caption
 - The severity is not "Enhancement", but "Normal"
 - also, I'd lower the priority to P3 or P4 as this bug only applies to one
application
 - run "WINEDEBUG="+all" wine ICQ6.exe" (or with +relay or +snoop), which is
much more informative and attach the debug log here again, you may need the
instructions from http://www.winehq.org/site/docs/winedev-guide/dbg-control to
do so.

The reason i am trying to get ICQ6 to run is that none of the older version is
able to connect to AOLs servers anymore. At least thats what they say.

Well, but Wine bugs that affect earlier versions of ICQ may also be present in
ICQ 6. However, as ICQ 6 is probably harder to debug (built-in flash etc) it
_may_ be easier to debug older versions.

+all is _way_ too verbose and should only be used for apps that exit almost
instantaneously, or as a last resort

Without "./winetricks msxml3" ICQ6 fails to start with code 3 for me, but using
native msxml3 it fails with code 4.

Kai:You have said you started without any native DLLs.
But I need MFC42.DLL MSVCP60.DLL to install ICQ 6. Did you use those dlls, too?
And I got error-code 10 directly after installing, without any "winetricks
msxml3" or other native dlls(except of mfc42 and msvcp60, that are already
installed).

Yeah i used some native dlls to install icq6. But it doesnt run with em nor
does it run with winetricks :(

This is a duplicate of an existing bug.

Just to re-iterate "winetricks mfc42" is needed to get the app to install. Then
bug 17790 will be hit. Working around this, "err:ole:CoGetClassObject class
{00000100-0000-0010-8000-00aa006d2ea4} not registered" is seen and "winetricks
jet40" gets past this.

The only Wine bug is the crash in msxml3 and there is another simpler bug open
for this issue. Therefore marking this bug as a duplicate of bug 17790.
