--- Comment #2 from Henri Verbeet hverbeet@gmail.com 2013-02-02 06:22:42 CST --- Also, the AppDB suggests there's a demo for this, does the issue happen there as well?

--- Comment #3 from Baggypants junk@therobinsonfamily.net 2013-02-02 10:07:27 CST --- The demo only goes up to level 9 and none of the earliest level that displays the behaviour is level 16.
lspci shows 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09)
I'm using an onboard Intel graphics card. The issue doesn't happen in windows 7 on the same hardware

--- Comment #4 from Henri Verbeet hverbeet@gmail.com 2013-02-03 02:02:23 CST --- What (32-bit) version of the Intel driver is that? This looks somewhat similar to https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25049.

--- Comment #6 from Baggypants junk@therobinsonfamily.net 2013-02-23 17:03:27 CST --- I don't see how bug 25049 is relevent, that seems to affect everything on screen, this is just something that happens on certain levels. Also I am running 64bit drivers

--- Comment #7 from Baggypants junk@therobinsonfamily.net 2013-02-23 17:45:51 CST --- I've discovered a slight reprieve, going to Help and Options, then Settings and switching the High Rez Objs to ON stops the imagine flipping during the game, it only now occurs during the between level stage where it displays your score rating.

Well, it affects texture coordinates. Just because it affects just about everything in one application doesn't necessarily mean it has to look the same for other applications. I suppose it doesn't really matter though, the main point was to make sure your 32-bit GL drivers are current.
Also I am running 64bit drivers
It doesn't work like that. Wine is a 32-bit application and uses 32-bit GL drivers. If you really don't have 32-bit GL drivers installed, it's probably using a software renderer instead.

--- Comment #9 from Baggypants junk@therobinsonfamily.net 2013-02-24 03:12:08 CST --- Many thanks for your response, Given that it only appears now with the text I agree with you about the texture-coordiates bug. I'd be surprised if I'm using a software renderer because other things like Portal, HalfLife and all seem to run and at a good speed. Can you help me with what I should be looking for?
