OS: Kubuntu 14.10 (x86, not x86_64) Wine: 1.6.2 from OS repository freshly installed AngryBirdsInstaller_4.0.0.exe is the first program which is run with Wine. Wine takes five to ten seconds to initialize, then, when starting the .exe file, fails immediately.

With version 1.7.30-0ubuntu1~ppa1 (beta) the installer starts, but hangs.
Installing Angry Birds
Please wait while the Setup Wizard installs Angry Birds. This may take several minutes.
Status: Moving files
The progress bar gets completely filled, then nothing happens. After 40 Minutes, I stopped it.
My hardware: Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 2.00GHz, 2 Gb RAM, hard disk is an IDE/ATA (not SATA) SSD (TS128GPSD320).

either way, your initial crash and the current hang are dupes of existing bugs.
Now it's a dupe of bug 33345
Please research Bugzilla more carefully next time.
Also avoid attaching backtraces and logs as compressed files if they are small. Most developers *prefer* plain text instead. I rarely look at compressed logs.
