This is probably a bug similar to bug 15534, which has been fixed. So I suspect a GDI handle leak or some type of virtual memory problem. (Thanks Alexander.)
To reproduce: I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking heavily, opening the DictationBox, dictating text, pasting into Notepad. All is well for quite a while. Suddenly the program slows down. When I try to paste text from DictationBox using the "transfer" command, the text grays out to show it is being selected, but the text does not drop and DictationBox does not close, as it should. I can paste the text using CTL-V, but the DictationBox stays open with the text in it, and the program has frozen.
Problem -- since the program does not actually crash, does anyone have any suggestions on a winedbg command?

Standard program freeze. I was able to close the program naturally, but it had stopped working properly.

I opened natspeak with winedbg and ran it intensively, dictating text into DictationBox and then pasting into Notepad. The problem comes when DictationBox is asked to paste for the 5th or 6th time. What's supposed to happen is that the text is moved from DictationBox to the buffer, then automatically pasted into the application (here, Notepad), and DictationBox automatically closes. What actually happens is that the text grays out, and goes into the buffer, but does not get pasted into Notepad, and DictationBox does not close.
This problem is persistent. So, once it starts happening, closing the program does not help, or only helps a little. Also, re-booting the computer does not help, nor does removing the wine registry and re-installing Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
To correct the problem, wine MUST be re-compiled. And then I instal in a clean registry.

Here's how I produced this. I ran DNS until it misbehaved. Then I closed DNS and killed wineserver. Then I tried to re-start DNS. Now, the usual result of this is that I can't run it again and have it behave properly. Usually it just freezes on open, and that's what it did here. So in theory the "bug" is already full-blown by the time this happens.

The first time DictationBox is opened it behaves flawlessly. The second time I open it, the box opens immediately, and then I talk, but text does not appear in it for about thirty seconds.
The fix is now simple. Close out the program and re-open it. But be sure that all the processes wine runs close, too. (Quite often they don't.)
wine reboot works, too.

I just tried to use Dictation Box and it accepts input multiple times (good that's fixed) but doesn't paste properly (new bug? my fault?)
