I noticed this while looking at bug (22959). There are a couple other bugs for other versions of this program, but I'm not clear which version this is (X isn't very clear), and the installer names are different, so filing a clean bug. The others, for reference, are bug 27240 and bug 34377.

I've still got the original installer. It still crashes here in wine-1.7.22.

Still fails, I don't see an msi error, instead the installer silently exits. Output shows mshtml and friends, including the error: 004a:err:mshtml:on_stop_nsrequest RemoveRequest failed: 80004005

With Wine 9.8 the installer doesn't exit but just sits around in the background. After a few minutes a bit more is printed in the console (about fonts) but nothing useful happens.
