Good morning! I'm from Taiwan and have poor English to report this bug... I have the ANSYS12 install disk of Linux from the laboratory where I study in. When the install progress finished, it need something, license.dat, which can launch the ANSYS12 of linux version in my ubuntu, but I open terminal and enter:
wine ap121_calc.exe
the ap121_calc.exe is the producer of license.dat, and in window it can be clicked by two times and the file will be gotton. In ubuntu terminal, it present the result of several paragraphs:
fixme:msvcrt:_setmbcp trail bytes data not available for DBCS codepage 0 - assuming all bytes err:seh:raise_exception Exception frame is not in stack limits => unable to dispatch exception.
I have tried some methods... one, delete the /.wine and open the wincfg, then enter these words above... two, setup the relative synaptic,for example, git, winedbg... three, compile the reg...it's spent my most time to do...please see the follow: http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys
But,it is still dissolve and I'm suffered enough to tired, help me!

Try using native msvcrt.dll using 'winetricks vcrun6'.

Ye! I have already downloaded the winetricks, and run vcrun6... but there was not seem to be effective from msvcrt.dll...I entered the column:
wine ap121_calc.exe
the terminal gave but decreased to only one paragraph:
err:seh:raise_exception Exception frame is not in stack limits => unable to dispatch exception.
I think you have found the question from last article by observating this paragraph:
fixme:msvcrt:_setmbcp trail bytes data not available for DBCS codepage 0 - assuming all bytes
and the other question second paragraph above still exist. I see, I'm suffered this raise exception until the long time finished as a really completed wine to window!

My wine version is the latest one,1.1.43, installed by ubuntu synaptic.

Yes, I have read the http://wiki.winehq.org/Bugs, and I tried to search the bug of ap121_calc.exe. I reported the bug when I firmly believe there is not any relative question similar to it.
I tried to see the other mean, for example, `err: seh: raise_exception', `Exception frame is not in stack limits', and `unable to dispatch exception' et. .
Indeed, there're many games will be present a lot of errors, and those players may find several key words relative to them. After I carried out winetricks to setup some .dll files, one error still exists. It doesn't give me any key word more~
I have watch this error up to 50 times. It is something to raise exception absolutively, I see~

Second, what is ap121_calc.exe? What exactly is it supposed to do?
I want to setup the Linux 32 version of ANSYS12, but the install progress wasn't finished without something produced by this file. I'm a confessor, so I must give an admission of fact that we have the copyrighted disk of ANSYS,but I don't know if the ANSYS native angency have the license key for linux... There are many methods to operate wine to act ap121_calc.exe, but no way let ANSYS work for Linux!
For the other path, I've been success to start ANSYS in virtualbox with xp...I learn a good lession from it!
