--- Comment #1 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-03-12 12:03:55 --- Dupe. You can use 'winetricks gdiplus' to work around it.

--- Comment #3 from Michal Suchanek hramrach@centrum.cz 2009-03-13 06:58:37 --- ok, installing gdiplus with winetricks fixes the gdiplus error.
Now I get a message
"extent" not understood
Another odd thing is that the application behaves differently when run from winefile and from xterm. I could never get past the splash without starting from winefile but even then it is not reliable.
Also the "extent" error does not always occur.
It seems like I have to start the application from winefile, for the first time it reports the "extent" error and for the second time it reports a GDI+ error FontFamilyNotFound.
The font problem is resolved with winetricks allfonts.
Now I get the "extent" error when selecting File->New.
No messages appear in the console when I do File->New.
What should I log to find what causes the "extent" to fail?
Thanks

--- Comment #5 from Michal Suchanek hramrach@centrum.cz 2009-03-13 12:51:58 --- Thanks for the pointers.
This is the output of the two runs. First reports the "extent" error on start and exits, second starts and reports the error on File->New (and continues). No output is generated in the console when selecting File->New.
