Bug ID: 48037 Summary: In World of Tanks in battle, mouse stuck in the middle Product: Wine Version: 4.17 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: HASH.DuOrden@gmail.com Distribution: ---
Starting with wine 4.17, in battle mouse is stuck to the center of the screen, it's just wiggles in middle and do not move the targeting reticle. This feels very similar to what happens when "MouseWarpOverride"="force" with only difference that with "MouseWarpOverride"="force" mouse acts like this all the time but here mouse are stuck to center only when game requests the lock, I'm not sure that I get the technical part correctly.
PS:This feels like a continuation of a bug #47771.

You need to provide the requested details, and run a regression test.

--- Comment #2 from Zebediah Figura z.figura12@gmail.com --- Is this bug present in upstream (non-Staging) Wine? Please see also https://wiki.winehq.org/Wine-Staging#Reporting_and_debugging_bugs_against_Staging.

--- Comment #7 from hash HASH.DuOrden@gmail.com --- So I'm not sure what info you need, so here all that came in to my head: I use Gentoo multilib x86_64 profile 17.0/desktop, gcc 8.3.0, glibc 2.29-r2, kernel gentoo-sources 5.3.7, mesa 19.3.0_rc2, AMD Radeon RX 590, DXVK 1.4.4. Here is a gif of how this looks like, it's a replay: https://imgur.com/IIrgEQy
I ran same replay with wine 4.15 (last working version) and with wine 4.19 with WINEDEBUG="-all,trace+cursor" and WINEDEBUG="-all,+dinput", attached files. Also compiled wine from git wine-4.19-334-ga63a98c388 and tested, aside of extreme instability the bug is present.
If you need any other log, I'm ready to provide. I do not see any point in bisect as the bug appears right after commit that fixes bug #47771 but if you still believe it is needed I'll do it. Also I am not sure but I think the wine version should be some ting like 4.16 but I am already lost in all this.

--- Comment #8 from Jaro Reinders jaro.reinders@gmail.com --- I ran into the same issue, I worked around it by enabling "Automatically capture the mouse in full-screen windows" in the wine configuration settings on the Graphics tab. It will work correctly if you run WoT in full-screen and keep it focused (click once anywhere in the game window if the mouse gets stuck again).

--- Comment #9 from hash HASH.DuOrden@gmail.com --- TY Jaro Reinders, at least there is some workaround, but I use dual monitor setup so workaround is inconvenient to say the least.

Does the bug still occur with wine-6.5?
I am no longer able to repeat the bug, so I consider it to be fixed. Should I mark it closed or should I leave that "honor" to system?

--- Comment #13 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr --- Please, close the bug as FIXED.
