Since Delphi encapsulates the win API there are a lot of things that happen in
the the base applicaion frameworks. So what happens after the ok or cancel
button will require tracing with debug channels or other debugging methods or
programs. If there is a debug channel or two that will log the messages I can
get some logs.

Here is the source and exe of a one line program Delphi 3 applicaion to execute
the file open dialog. Included are a steps to reproduce txt file
