Sorry, previous patch had a typo. Try with a new one and if it still outputs some msxml errors attach a +tid,+msxml instead of plain output.

With your new patch the "Failed to initialize MNCS. (Code: 1)" error does not appear anymore, but icq.exe crashes instead. I do not think that this is the result you are looking for.
I have uploaded the output you requested.

No, it's fine. New crash has nothing to do with initial problem I think.

The setup program crashes when it reaches 100%/last minute updates, but completes anyway. When I try to load ICQ afterwards, I get the Failed to initialize MNCS. (Code: 1) error.
Here's the log for the setup program, I will also upload a +tid,+msxml log for the MNCS problem.

--- Comment #14 from Ken Sharp kennybobs@o2.co.uk 2011-03-13 21:19:42 CDT --- In short, the same error as initially reported still occurs.
I don't have a working Linux installation at the moment (!!!) but if you don't get the chance, Nikolay, I will upload the results with libxml2-dbg when I get the chance (could be a long while though).

--- Comment #15 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com 2011-03-14 17:58:25 CDT --- With current wine-git it crashes for me before starting update phase of installation. And native msxml6 doesn't help here - same crash with it.
Could anyone confirm?

Hmm.. In today's git and no overrides, not only does ICQ install, it loads for me. I use Gentoo Linux X64.
This could use another confirmation to make sure.

--- Comment #17 from Ken Sharp kennybobs@o2.co.uk 2011-03-25 20:40:37 CDT --- Nope.
In Wine 1.3.16 there is a different crash apparently before the update check. I think ICQ has been updated.
Following a new exception the installer continues for a while but then just locks up while "Preparing for last minute updates".
