Bug ID: 46645 Summary: DOOM 2016 Crashing on second loading screen on 99% when Vulkan render is used Product: Wine Version: 4.0 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: linards.liepins@gmail.com Distribution: ---
As the issue seems to be fixable by certain tweaks via various Windows Utilities. I would say it is issue with applicable workaround in Wine and it therefore falls into the Wine implementation garden as well. Reference: https://steamcommunity.com/app/379720/discussions/0/358417461602906353/?ctp=...

--- Comment #2 from Roland Häder roland@mxchange.org --- Is still still an issue with latest `stable` branch code? And how stable/"issue-free" is OpenGL rendering?
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46645
--- Comment #3 from Roland Häder roland@mxchange.org --- I think retesting it with latest `master` code would be a good idea (don't touch here anything, as my experience with the WINE team goes) as developers might have fixed it there already. If test is positive, then you might have a good chance that it will be included in `stable` branch.

Checking now with wine-4.13 (staging) on fresh x64 prefix.

After first change for OpenGL 4.5 to Vulkan with maxed out graphics settings, game restarted fine. Once I hit Escape after few mins gameplay, game frozen and had to restart whole system. After the restart, game works w/o issues via Vulkan render.

Still, I was surprised game did not detect OpenGL 4.6 as my render of the system; it is clearly capabale of it and GPU kernel driver as well...
