--- Comment #5 from Dan Kegel dank@kegel.com 2010-08-02 09:11:33 --- runetmember, 'sh winetricks d3dx9_36' should work around the problem. Does it?

--- Comment #6 from runetmember@gmail.com 2010-08-02 09:19:19 --- Work around for start game but not work around for correct work of game: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23870
Also, I create this but not about launching game, but about freeze desktop. Even some function not implemented - Wine not must freeze desktop, right? Then maybe open this bug and fix freeze?

--- Comment #7 from Dan Kegel dank@kegel.com 2010-08-02 09:32:06 --- If that works around the desktop freeze, then this really is a dup of bug 12530, and when we fix that, the freeze will go away.

What do you mean by a "desktop freeze"? The whole X11 desktop freezes? Then this is not a Wine bug, Wine is a user level application and can't cause other parts of OS to freeze.

No, cursor is still working, but all other (DE, applications) - not.
That's a sign of an X11/video driver bug. Please report that to your distro.
