This was tested using Ubuntu 10.04 on two 32 bit machines and two 64 bit machines.
Overview:
The application works in 32 bit Linux. After installing on a 64 bit computer, the RSA SecurID software fails to start with a dialog window titled "RSA SecurID" and message "Error loading desktop client." There isn't any output to the command line.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Download the RSA SecurID Software Token Generator. http://www.rsa.com/node.aspx?id=1162
2) msiexec /i [Downloaded file] and accept all defaults
3) Execute drive_c/Program\ Files/RSA\ SecurID\ Software\ Token/SecurID.exe
Actual results:
The RSA SecurID software failed to start with a dialog window titled "RSA SecurID" and message "Error loading desktop client."
Expected results: The application should start and run the initial configuration process (import token, etc).
Tested in Wine 1.2 and 1.3.4

That produced the same result. There isn't any console output. I can't find any logs from the application either.

The program was successfully running until I made an update today. Unfortunatly, I'm not able to tell what was updated... But it's broken ever since the update.
To narrow down the number of possible causes: the last update before this one was maybe a month ago.

I double-clicked my sdtid (key) file. That opened the program correctly. I was able to set it up by registering my key file and entering my password. It has worked correctly ever since.

The installer/app works fine either in pure 32-bit or 64-bit WINEPREFIX (shared WoW). There is no special 64 bit version of the app, it's always 32 bit.
