--- Comment #3 from Andrew Nguyen [email protected] --- With SMath Studio 1.1.8763, I was able to reproduce the exception with vanilla and staging wine-9.0, but I don't see it when running with the latest vanilla and staging wine-9.14. Can you please retest with the latest development version?

--- Comment #5 from Fabian Maurer [email protected] --- Any news on re-testing this?
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57041
--- Comment #6 from Andrew Nguyen [email protected] --- My own testing indicates that what makes SMath Studio not crash when hovering the mouse cursor over a toolbar item is to have a version of Wine Mono at least 9.1.0 installed in the Wine prefix. With a newer version of Wine Mono installed, the application will work with wine-9.0.
I'm inclined to mark this bug fixed as of (vanilla) wine-9.8, the first release with the default Wine Mono version bumped to 9.1.0.

--- Comment #7 from Esme Povirk [email protected] --- That would make sense, based on the exception it's likely fixed by this changelog item:
Fixed System.Drawing.Icon incorrectly rejecting cursor handles, which was also breaking System.Windows.Forms.Cursor.Hotspot.
