--- Comment #3 from Louis Lenders xerox_xerox2000@yahoo.co.uk --- Is this the program: https://engineering.purdue.edu/~biehl/MultiSpec/download_win.html?
if so: Runs here fine as well. What is this strang exe ``link to multispecw32`` and ``Z:\home\christopher\Desktop\Link to MultiSpecW32.exe``? I don`t see those things here...

--- Comment #4 from Louis Lenders xerox_xerox2000@yahoo.co.uk --- @Chris, Sorry, I didn`t read the bugreport careful enough.
I get a crash too when I try to open an image. I get a different backtrace, but that might be due to newer wine-version I use.
Confirming. @Chris: could you explain what you mean with ``then band combination?``

Could be related to bug 37636. There is a commit that should be reverted. It has become a mess, so many bugs depend on wrong behaviour.

Yes, thanks for the info. I applied this revert: https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=56322&action=diff&context=...
and the crash is gone. This is really a duplicate of bug 40832 which has also all the info
