Bug ID: 43126 Summary: format DXGI_FORMAT_R8G8B8A8_UNORM stub Product: Wine Version: 2.9 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3dx11 Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: martin.ramke@ramtrix.de Distribution: ---
Created attachment 58329 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=58329 full log
Since hearthstone patch 8.2.0.19506 which seems to make the switch to d3d11, several effects are not working properly.
Including hovering over the played card history some card animations and the winning/losing screen. Instead of the usual effects the screen turns partially or completely black, while this is happening the following is output to the console:
fixme:d3d11:d3d11_immediate_context_ResolveSubresource iface 0x14ba2c, dst_resource 0x118eaea0, dst_subresource_idx 0, src_resource 0x89b3f60, src_subresource_idx 0, format DXGI_FORMAT_R8G8B8A8_UNORM stub!
The game can be made more playable by turning graphical effects to minimal but problems in the card history and other screens using special effects persist.

--- Comment #1 from Sebastian Lackner sebastian@fds-team.de --- Does it work with Wine Staging? Current versions include a semi-stub for this function.

--- Comment #2 from Adrian Petrescu apetresc@gmail.com --- @Sebastian: No, I can confirm that the graphical issues Martin describes *are* present in Wine Staging 2.10.
Luckily at present there is an easy workaround: set "-force-d3d9" as a parameter to Hearthstone in the B.Net Launcher.

--- Comment #3 from ttmigueltt@gmail.com --- I also had some graphical glitches (in my case the entire screen was unreadable), that were fixed by using the "-force-d3d9" flag.
The error I had in my case was reported as this in my terminal: d3d:wined3d_debug_callback 0x8021548: "GL_INVALID_FRAMEBUFFER_OPERATION in glDrawElements

--- Comment #5 from Ker noa blue-t@web.de --- This one is full of DepthBiasClamp messages, have you tried with wine-staging so we can eliminate this from the log?
