I get a black screen with the message below flooding the console with a delay of 1 to 3 seconds between messages. err:ddraw:d3d_device3_GetRenderState Unexpected texture stage state setup, returning D3DTBLEND_MODULATE - likely erroneous.

Please attach +winmm,+msvfw32,+mciavi32,+mci,+iccvid,+msvidc32,+mciavi,+tid,+msvideo,+avifile (some channels may be invalid, I'm typing as I remember).

These messages are present in Wine 1.7.4 too, however, Dino Crisis works fine. I get the black screen in Wine 1.7.51 as well--this must be some kind of a REGRESSION.

Native amstream quartz solves the issue. Assuming it to be a quartz problem for now.

But did you get it to work with Wine 1.7.51 too?

The game plays the videos before getting into the black screen problem. So it is possible to test in 1.7.51 too.

Where do you get that impression? I don't see the videos playing. Nor would I expect them to; the DirectDraw media stream isn't implemented at all yet.
