Opening a HTML email (multipart message with Content-Type: text/html) in Lotus Notes 8.0.1 causes the following:
err:seh:setup_exception_record stack overflow 1256 bytes in thread 001f eip 601b119e esp 00240e48 stack 0x240000-0x241000-0x340000 err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x110048 "heap.c: main process heap section" wait timed out in thread 0032, blocked by 001f, retrying (60 sec) err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x110048 "heap.c: main process heap section" wait timed out in thread 0026, blocked by 001f, retrying (60 sec)
Application hangs, eventually needing to be killed manually.

--- Comment #2 from Scott scott@nextgen.net 2008-08-08 09:45:10 --- The fix for this is to go into User Preferences in Notes, and check the "Disable embedded browser for MIME mail".
The rendering of HTML mail in Notes 8 has changed, so that the messages are rendered using the system's default browser. For Windows, this is IE; which of course won't work in Wine.
Checking the above option forces Notes to use it's own internal browser for rendering the messages.
