Driving Application: http://only4john.googlepages.com/Imager3309.exe

The Driving Application can not find serial port while running the application
under wine, while the PC has a serial port.

Our way is write the following into the ini file comes with the exe file:
"
[Environment]
Serial Ports=com1
Serial Ports (Friendly)=
Always scan for serial ports=0
Net Ports=
"
and create a link "sudo ln -s /dev/ttyUSB0 ~/.wine/dosdevices/com1"

then, it works.

And you "fixed" Wine how? This is still a problem in Wine. What's posted here
is a workaround.

Also DO NOT EVER RUN WINE AS ROOT!!! And DO NOT use "sudo" at front of each
command - all you doing is breaking everything, not fixing.

Please specify Wine version you are using.
The registry should probably go into wine.inf and whatever else works with HAL.

Thank you for your suggestion! I'll use sudo very carefully in the future ;)
the version I'm using is wine-0.9.53.
