Hi, I've got some good news and some bad news for you: I downloaded and installed the Photoshop CS 2 trial version. I installed on Windows and tried to run on Windows. That didn't seem to be too problematic. I got some errors about locked disks and full disks... But I could also see the startup problem you are reporting: Photoshop launches, numerous "CR_GetFolderAttributes HCR_GetFolderAttributes should be called for simple PIDL's only!" messages are printed, then it terminates immediatelly. I could trace down the problem in the shell code and found a work around for your problem. Please try the attached patch - it should bring Photoshop forward. However I could not really use the program because then it terminates a bit later after displaying the toolbars. Well, may be this is because of my irregular setup. Now the bad news: The patch is really only a dirty work around and I don't think it will be accepted in this form at WineHQ.
