You're running a very old version of Wine. Please update to the latest version and try again :)

Under Wine 2.0-RC3, I get the same backtrace as Chris.
Unhandled exception: divide by zero in 32-bit code (0x0082708b).
Do you have that too? There is a hacky patch somewhere that could fix that if that's the case. But testing that you supposed to compile wine yourself. Meanwhile it's better to just attach as attachment the default console output before the crash.

That's the same error I get. I'll attach the console output along with the backtrace, then.
winetest@luukku.com, can you point me to said patch? I'll try my best to implement it.

I don't remember the patch anymore. I have been away some time and the bug list has grown meanwhile. It's getting harder to find bugs.

--- Comment #7 from Sagawa sagawa.aki+winebugs@gmail.com --- Could you retest with latest version? It works for me without crashes in wine 3.9+149 (git version).

--- Comment #8 from André andreluis.g.silva@gmail.com --- I can confirm that the game does run seemingly flawlessly with wine-3.9 (winehq-devel package). To note though is that this is only if the game is run with 64-bit DX11. Otherwise, it runs very slowly, and the WayForward video at the start is corrupted.

--- Comment #9 from Yao Mitachi yaomtcmail@gmail.com --- I've found that launching the game from Lutris makes it run well. If I just run the game with wine in the terminal, I get an unusable ~1 FPS. The issue with Lutris is that though I can get it to run the game in a terminal, I can't find any write-up on how Wine's default options differ from those of Lutris, so I can't figure out what Lutris does differently to make the game work. Can anyone offer insight?

--- Comment #10 from Yao Mitachi yaomtcmail@gmail.com --- Something may have been wrong on my end. I can now get the game running without Lutris. I'm not sure what happened, but I am sure that the issues happen when you run in 32-bit mode, and the game runs well in 64-bit mode. I was under the impression that I *was* running in 64-bit mode, since my .wine was said to be a 64-bit prefix, and even after deleting it and recreating it, the issue continued, even if I specifically ran ShantaeHero64.exe. But today I tried again, this time with "env WINEARCH=win64", and it started working. I don't know that environment variable was the solution, or if something else had changed, but... the game should run fine for anyone with fresh install/prefix/variables provided it's all 64-bit
