This explains why it fails considerably more often in late game when all kinds of units are stomping through the battlefield. I tried increasing videomem in the registry and I have a feeling that it's running more stable now, probably because textures stay longer in memory when more of it is available.
It's strange tho that occasionally you can play for an hour without problems, while some other time SupCom 'stack-overflows' right away.
Also, the new Forged Alliance addon uses more detailed effects/textures/shaders even on lowest settings. It only makes sense that FA crashes more often and sooner than the original game does. But it doesn't matter since FA suffers from severe graphical corruption anyway
Still, the issue remains. Thanks to your work Erich we now have ReplacefileW, and maybe your research on the crashbug can help to fix it. Maybe. Maybe not. I wouldn't know, I know almost nothing about C :)
