Playing a file with Helium Music Manager 2008 (Build 6158) will crash the application. The application gives you the ability to switch between audio engines, I used the BASS engine (default engine).
I have added logs as an attachment. There you can a stack overflow - what might be the cause for the crash.

Open two terminals: Terminal 1: $ wine your_app.exe
When app shows 'err:seh:setup_exception_record stack overflow 204 bytes in thread 0013 eip 7c621540 esp 011f1264 stack 0x11f0000-0x11f1000-0x21f0000'
Do: Terminal 2: $ winedbg winedbg> bt all
and attach its output here.

I have retested the program with the new 2009 version and version 1.1.10 of Wine.
With this I was able to play files. This still locks the gui so that I have to kill the process, but at least the audio engine seems to work.
Adding of files is still not supported.
