[Bug 18459] New: Modo crashes wine.

In this particular case it is Luxology Modo that is messing up. I installed it
without a hitch but when I try to run Modo I get the error. Notepad runs in
wine but nothing else.
I have tried Photoshop and Autocad and all three get the same error message pop
up.

I can provide you with terminal returns on the other programs if you need them
but for right now let's get this taken care of. It may fix the others.

When you need a program and it or any other windows program aside from notepad
doesn't work at all(!) I would say that it is pretty critical and I would like
to get it fixed so I can go back to using it like I did when my computer was a
windows machine.
Any idea on how long it will take to work this bug out? I can install the other
two programs that are not working to maybe see if there is some sort of a
connection if that would be helpfull.

You haven't mentioned that at all before. Please explain your situation in the
clearest way possible.
Have you tried a clean wineprefix? WINEPREFIX=~/wine-test wine modo.exe

You need to cd to whichever directory the application modo.exe is in before
that.

You are lacking DLLs required to run the application. Does modo.exe run under
windows as-is?
Your program probably ships those DLLs somewhere. Move them to the directory
"Luxology/modo 302". Then try to run it again.

I checked and there are DLLs in the modo302 directory. I am not sure which ones

Looking at the output, you need dnssd.dll, front3.dll, frame3.dll and
nexus3.dll

According to Ryan Troy https://launchpad.net/~rtroy it is. And if you think
about it; Wine (windows) e (emulator), it just makes sense.
