env:
wine1.3.12 from ubuntu ppa
Ubuntu 10.10 x86_64

Step 1
Download POPO2011-Full-installer.exe
http://dl.163.com/popo_2011/update/installer/POPO2011-Full-installer.exe

Step 2
Install POPO2011:

Install mfc42 with winetricks

Step 4
run POPO

Thanks.Also be tested.There is no windows to be create, too. But the console
output seams different. I should have pasted the log:

native dbghelp.dll from builtin POPO2011

Confirm this bug on wine1.3.18.
This time I notice that POPO2011 has a native dbghelp.dll in the program
directory,
so is that the problem ?

No.

What language is this?  I can't get the characters to display correctly no
matter what I set LANG= to.

It's in Chinese. LANG=zh_CN.utf8

"winetricks cc580" makes the app come up fine for me, so likely a bug in

The current version is:
ti->lpszText = /* NULL */;  /* FIXME */

This null point let the program crash in msvcrt:_mbscmp

I have no idea how to implement a correctly ti->lpszText, could some wine
developers take this bug?
