I think he didn't, as this is different issue. I guess I am experiencing it too. Installer crashed due to loading and unloading of OpenGL.DLL for me. But when I upgraded my X server packages, my glibc, my gcc, my nvidia-binary driver, the crash moment has changed now - setup goes even more further now.

IMHO, we need a new bugreport, something named like a 'Autocad 2004 installer crash using native MSI' or so. I suggest you to create +tid,+module,+seh,+relay output, cut 1000 lines before the crash and attach it to a new bugreport.
I'd use following command for the cutting:
$ cat acad.txt | grep -B1000 -A5 '^wine: Unhandled exception'
See you in another bugreport. :)
