In the release version of MediaMonkey, the program throws a "Error during
player Initialization" dialog during startup.  The program will not play mp3's.

Yes.  I think this line is relevant....

patch sent.
MediaMonkey now opens and looks useable :p

you'll have to click OK through some error boxes though and ctrl+c in the end 3
times i think to end it's process.
this may be because of CM_Get_Child that is not fetching the application's
children correctly, since it's a stub.

hmm i think the error boxes was a problem in my stubs. there are no error boxes
now. i've resent the patches and hope it is commited by tomorrow.

I'm still getting the error.  Under 1.1.12, what modules are you loading? 
WMP10? Gecko?  vb6run?

Nay.  It's completely fixed.  I'm an idiot.  It was a conflict with CXOFFICE.
