Summary: Regression in comctl32.dll.so, divide by zero. Product: Wine Version: 1.0.0 Platform: Other OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: comctl32 AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: winehq@linuxturtle.net
Created an attachment (id=15026) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=15026) crash backtrace / run log
Divide by zero crash in comctl32 when starting up a program (chief architect). This does not happen if I replace comctl32.dll.so with an older version of the libarary (from cxoffice 6.2, I'm not sure which version of WINE that corresponds to).
Bactrace etc... attached.

--- Comment #1 from Juan Lang juan_lang@yahoo.com 2008-07-24 13:52:47 --- Please run with a version of wine with debug symbols so we can get more useful information from the backtrace.
Also, please try to find a version of (vanilla, not crossover) wine that it works in, or better yet do a regression test: http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting
Is there a download/demo of the app available?

--- Comment #2 from Brett Johnson winehq@linuxturtle.net 2008-07-24 14:00:21 --- Just to clarify.
The app works fine in wine 1.0.0, if I replace the comctl32.dll.so library with an older version. So a full regression test would be a bit overkill :)
There is a trial of the application available, but it's a much newer version than what I'm running. I'll try to reproduce with the trial version, and add another comment here if I can see the same behavior with it.

--- Comment #6 from Brett Johnson winehq@linuxturtle.net 2008-10-27 16:37:33 --- Lei, I'm sorry to say that I can't reproduce the problem with the ChiefArchitect trial. It apparently uses different code, and doesn't have the same problem.
Andrew, I've not tried 1.1.7 yet. Has something changed in comctl32 that makes you think it might be fixed in 1.1.7?

--- Comment #7 from Lei Zhang thestig@google.com 2008-10-28 13:01:39 --- There's been a lot of fixes since 1.0.0, please give the latest version a try.
