What happens after clicking scan hardware in configurator

The problem is that Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic configurator fails to
detect installed graphic drivers. I click on the scan hardware in configurator
and I get what I showed in attachment

In terminal there are only these lines:

Fedora 12 32 bit
self-compiled Wine 1.1.42
NVIDIA 9xxx with drivers from vendor site 195.36.15

I can confirm this, but to me it happens with an ATI Radeon 4850, with the ati
X driver version 6.13.1, vanilla kernel 2.6.35.4(with KMS), Mesa 7.8.2(direct
rendering enabled) and Wine both versions 1.2 and 1.3.1.

The message I get is this:

$ wine swconfig.exe

I'm having similar experiences with wine 1.5.9. Scan fails but does not throw
up the same error messege, it simply offers me to view details, details show
that it detects the correct amount of VRAM but not that it's a better card than
either radeon 9200 or GeForce4 Ti.

That being said, this is *consistent* with windows. Only difference is that it
fails to detect a suitable OpenGL driver (which may or may not have a natural
explanation). So it seems this ought to be marked either resolved or invalid.

With Wine 1.7.3, Serious Sam HD  displayes a similar message about outdated
drivers. You can download the demo from Steam:

My graphic cards:
