--- Comment #10 from Stephan Sokolow from_wine_bugzilla@ssokolow.com 2008-10-21 07:09:53 --- I forget. Which variables am I supposed to set to which values for relevant debugging output in this situation? The default output on my system is just the following complaints about apparently harmless stubs in DirectSound and some tweaks to my audio and video systems to keep Wine apps from being able to muck with my system configuration.
err:alsa:ALSA_CheckSetVolume Could not find 'PCM Playback Volume' element fixme:mixer:ALSA_MixerInit No master control found on USB Device 0x46d:0x8d7, disabling mixer err:ole:CoUninitialize Mismatched CoUninitialize err:x11settings:X11DRV_ChangeDisplaySettingsEx No matching mode found 800x600x32 @0! (XRandR) fixme:dsalsa:IDsDriverBufferImpl_SetVolumePan (0x1a72d08,0x1bbc78): stub
In order, those are basically, "Your mixer is odd... so we can't let Windows apps muck with it against your will", "Your USB microphone doesn't have a master volume control", <No clue about the OLE one, but it doesn't seem harmful>, "You've set your xorg.conf to only accept one resolution. That's not fair!", and the stub message.
Oh, and a whole lotta these when I skip untranslated character voices which correspond to text I read much more quickly than it gets spoken. (Also apparently harmless)
