--- Comment #4 from CN Gnome cngnome@gmail.com 2008-06-01 15:11:08 --- Please note that this bug was originally for rc3 as it says on the note, but the hightest on the list of versions was rc2 at the time. That is why I did the change.

--- Comment #8 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2008-06-03 18:53:53 --- Does native quartz fix the problem?
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13580
--- Comment #9 from CN Gnome cngnome@gmail.com 2008-06-04 12:45:28 --- Yes, it seems to work with native. But for some reason mouse is weeeerrryyy slooooowwwww. Otherwise kbd moves the charater rapidly and the game itself works fine. All animations play nicely.

--- Comment #10 from CN Gnome cngnome@gmail.com 2008-06-06 15:37:25 --- Same error, same solution (native quarz) in rc4 and clean .wine directory. Same slugginess with mouse.

--- Comment #11 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2008-12-04 13:35:55 --- Is this still an issue in current (1.1.9 or newer) wine?

--- Comment #12 from CN Gnome cngnome@gmail.com 2008-12-05 14:53:50 --- I did a fresh install on 1.1.9
It played the intro video as before, but then it crashed a bit later on on

--- Comment #15 from CN Gnome cngnome@gmail.com 2008-12-06 13:34:51 --- I am not quite sure if this is what you wanted, please give me the correct cmd line if not :
wine ARX.exe >traceDec.txt 2>&1
1. Intro video plays fine. 2. I get to menu - mouse cursor is very slow. 3. I select New quest 4. Black screen 5. Crash

--- Comment #17 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2008-12-06 15:37:17 --- A +ddraw,+seh trace would probably help.

--- Comment #18 from CN Gnome cngnome@gmail.com 2008-12-07 14:01:18 --- Trace has about 500K rows. Even gzip --best file is too large to load to here. Are you looking something in particular that I could slice from it ? I can split the file automatically to several files, but there would still be a lot of data.

--- Comment #19 from CN Gnome cngnome@gmail.com 2008-12-25 15:54:45 --- It works when I :
1. Installed from scratch new wine 1.11 2. Installed arx fatalis patch 1.17
I can now even turn right and left (an error reported earlier by someone else, making game unplayable) and the game is faster than ever (but not as fast as in windows). Nevertheless, fixed with 1.11 and platinum now I'd say...

Does it work in windows without that patch?

--- Comment #21 from CN Gnome cngnome@gmail.com 2008-12-26 12:42:34 --- No, never had. But with previous versions it didnt work with patch either.
Please note that at the beginning I was using native quartz and it worked for awhile. Now it works with wine quartz.

--- Comment #22 from CN Gnome cngnome@gmail.com 2008-12-26 12:44:18 --- argh,

No, never had. But with previous versions it didnt work with patch either.
I wanted to make sure that the patch wasn't the reason it worked under wine, i.e., that the bug was being worked around by the app rather than fixed in wine.
Please note that at the beginning I was using native quartz and it worked for awhile. Now it works with wine quartz.
Great, thanks!
