--- Comment #12 from Raphael Parree rparree@gmail.com 2009-04-17 01:39:16 --- I can confirm this behaviour as well. I am running wine-1.1.9. The crash occurs when i make a combination of letters and digits. If i type digits in a shape it works, if i then start typing letters-> crash. Same thing when i start with letters and then type a digit. Pasting a string combined of letters and digits also makes Visio crash.

Is this still an issue with Visio 2007 in current (1.1.34 or newer) wine? This bug is a blocker.
Currently i see 2 major bugs on visio 2003 sp3 and visio 2007 sp1 with wine 1.1.34
1) This bug, and some graphics erros appears without dlls overrides, but can be solved with dll overrides.
Without using winetricks, setup this libraries with winecfg: gdiplus(native) mshtml(native, builtin) msxml3(native, builtin) riched20(native, builtin) shdocvw(native, builtin) urlmon(native, builtin) usp10(native, builtin) wininet(native, builtin)
2) bug http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20442, this is a real blocker because it can not be solved with dlls overrides.

--- Comment #16 from Jaime jskartman@gmail.com 2010-03-02 16:53:58 --- The bug seems totally related to usp10.dll, enabling this dll solves the problem on visio 2003 and 2007, disabling it reproduces the problem.

This bug seems fixed since some time ago.
Please specifiy which `wine --version` you have tested with and if you have tested in a clean prefix without the native dlls in comment 15.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13885
--- Comment #19 from Jaime jskartman@gmail.com 2010-10-22 03:59:09 CDT --- Tested with wine 1.3.5, a clean prefix, and with winetrick gdiplus (to correct some graphics errors).
visio 2003 is working pretty well, the error described here is not present anymore. I have not done extensive testing because currently I am using visio 2007 + wine.
