It seems to be looking for the SoftIce debugger to make its copy protection less vulnerable.
Interesting: If I set wine's version simulation to "NT4.0" after installation and try to start the application once again with "wine C:/Programme/Lauftrainer/Lauftrainer.exe", then there's no reaction at all, after some time I find myself just back at the prompt. If I append any parameter of my choice ("-h" or "-foo" or "-bar") to this command, only then the messages mentioned first in this bug report appear.
