This crash seems to be a random one, i could not locate where it's happening. WoW Client crashes without any error and in wine Console i get the attached error output. Looks not very helpful eh?
Does anyone else have this error?

--- Comment #1 from Lee Marshall leeguy92@googlemail.com 2008-09-20 19:09:43 --- yes, im having the same issue. specs: Acer aspire 4920 Fedora 9 i386 Intel GMA X3100 graphics card 256MB Video Memory 2GB Main Memory Wine 1.0
The crashes/lockups happen at random throughout the game, i never get more than 5 minutes(and that much is rare). sometimes i can alt-tab out of the app and kill the process. other times, the whole system locks up and i need to reboot.
Can someone please shed some light on this, preferably sooner than later.

--- Comment #2 from Lee Marshall leeguy92@googlemail.com 2008-09-21 16:40:52 --- HAH, i've squashed it. for me anyway. I simply selected pulseaudio instead of ALSA and disabled driver emulation in the sound section of winecfg.
i discovered the problem by running: wine Wow.exe &> WowERR.txt
after the crash, WowERR.txt read: err:alsa:ALSA_XRUNRecovery underrun recovery failed. prepare failed: Input/output error ogram Files/Blizzard/WoW/World of Warcraft/Wow.exe: pcm_pulse.c:198: pulse_pointer: Assertion `pcm->stream' failed.
hope this works for others experiencing the issue. ive had the game running for around an hour, with no problems whatsoever. A note: i have to use DirectX mode. if i use opengl mode in the game, the map and all text on the screen disappears as soon as i enter a building.

This is with wine 1.1.18 on Ubuntu 9.04. The same error occurs whether I use hardware acceleration or not for the audio. Spotify can run perfectly for a random time before this happens. 1 minute to several hours. It seems to only happen when it's outputting sound. It also seems to happen when switching between other programs. About 30 seconds before Spotify crashes, I can hear a clicking sound in the music.
