Bug ID: 48983 Summary: softphone exe doesn't able to connect with the internet Product: Wine Version: 4.0-rc2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: support@mmarzouki.de Distribution: ---
hello,
i use debian10 x64 and i want to install the cloudpbx softphoneclient as a .exe. if i install the exe and start the softphone, then it's told me, that doesn't has a connection to his server.
i tried many things like to start with wine64 or set the compatibility to windows 10.
i use wine-4.0 (Debian 4.0-2) from the debian10 repo.
how can you check this problem?:
go to this link and download the exe:
https://cpbx-hilfe.deutschland-lan.de/de/endgeraete-und-clients/desktop-clie...
then try to install the EXE an go to his directory:
~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Telekom Deutschland GmbH/Cloud PBX
here start the client:
wine Communicator.exe
if the client is up, type something in the field email and passwort and click the login button "Anmelden"
now you have to see the error that the tool is unable to connect his server.
this is the console output if i click the button an receive the errormessage:

I have no idea how you could possibly encounter this error, even with an old Wine. Does this happen in a clean WINEPREFIX?
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48983
--- Comment #2 from momarz support@mmarzouki.de --- what do you mean exactly with "clean WINEPREFIX"?
can you confirm this error on your machine?
what i have now to check?
the same problem with this exe have a lot more people

--- Comment #3 from Zebediah Figura z.figura12@gmail.com --- (In reply to momarz from comment #2)
what do you mean exactly with "clean WINEPREFIX"?
For an explanation of prefixes see: https://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#Wineprefixes
I.e. try setting the environment variable WINEPREFIX to a nonexistent directory and reinstalling the software.
can you confirm this error on your machine?
Using Wine 5.6, when entering a fake username and password I get "Sie haben einen falschen Benutzenamen oder ein falsches Passwort eingegeben", which seems to imply that no, but maybe it's necessary to enter real credentials to trigger the error?
In any case I don't see the terminal messages pasted.

--- Comment #4 from momarz support@mmarzouki.de --- i installed the exe again and set the environment variable WINEPREFIX to a nonexistent directory.
this still doesn't work.
i installed on my debian 10 wine5.0 and the exe works immediately.
but now i have the problem, if i call anyone he listen me but i dont listen him.
i tried to change with winecfg the audio settings and set all the standards to pulseaudio. but this was not the solution.
can you give me a clue were i can change the settings?
kind regards

--- Comment #5 from Anastasius Focht focht@gmx.net --- Hello momarz,
I don't want to be rude but I think there is a misunderstanding here. WineHQ Bugzilla is a bug tracker and not a helpdesk a la "how to get app x to work".
The topic of the ticket is kinda moot if you start talking about different issues which have nothing to do with original problem. Again: "meta" bugs like "get app x to work" should be avoided. Keep this ticket for *one* issue that you think is a bug in Wine.
All the other things, that is settings, distro/audio config etc. are better discussed in https://forum.winehq.org/
