Summary: LEGO Rock Raiders amstream crash Product: Wine Version: 0.9.60 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: echidnaman@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=12540) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=12540) +amstream log with crash
LEGO Rock Raiders crashes when trying to play the "LEGO Media" splash video. +amstream log included. I don't think that this game has a demo. One needs a nocd crack to bypass safedisc and a native d3drm.dll to avoid a crash if they want to run the game.

With a native amstream.dll it hangs indefinitely after giving the attached console output.

--- Comment #9 from Jonathan echidnaman@gmail.com 2008-04-28 13:31:59 --- This bypasses the crash. The videos don't play, but the game doesn't crash.

--- Comment #11 from Jonathan echidnaman@gmail.com 2008-04-28 13:47:37 --- Oh, whoops. The native amstream.dll bypasses the crash, but you have to use a native quartz.dll to get passed the hang.

--- Comment #13 from ddcc d.c.ddcc@gmail.com 2008-11-12 21:43:10 --- Yes, exactly the same.
Requires native amstream, quartz, and d3drm as well as the registry entry to make it even launch. Not to mention the SafeDisc crack.
This is on Ubuntu 8.10 with wine-1.1.8.
The game works, but is slower than in Windows and does show some 3d corruption. Additionally, the terminal is flooded with:
fixme:d3d7:IDirect3DDeviceImpl_3_SetLightState D3DLIGHTSTATE_MATERIAL called with NULL material !!!
err:d3d7:IDirect3DDeviceImpl_7_GetRenderState Unhandled texture mag 0 !
