Summary: World of Warcraft: d3d crashes under nVidia 86xx/88xx "WINED3DFMT_R32F" Product: Wine Version: 1.1.7 Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3d AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: adys.wh+winehqdotorg@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=17104) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=17104) Console log
Since patch 3.0.2 (relatively recent beta build, didn't happen until late September), loading the game under d3d mode crashes on login with the error below. After some discussions on IRC, it seems this is related to the following line:
err:d3d:getColorBits Unsupported format: WINED3DFMT_R32F
Attached full console output. Problem has only been seen so far on nVidia 86xx and 88xx cards. Changing to double buffering and MultiSample to 1 does not give any better result.
8600 gts, driver version 177.80
