I'm also getting this small sized 'Fatal Error' message box in the game Death Tractor (the game is built on the UE4 engine). http://store.steampowered.com/app/375040/
Terminal output also has close resemblance to the one in comment #0.
The game loads the main menu, but crashes when I start either a solo or multiplayer game.

Into the Stars now crashes with a "Fatal Error" message in Wine 2.1.

--- Comment #6 from fjfrackiewicz@gmail.com --- As of Wine 2.6-55-gf7402accc4 (CSMT is not turned on in the registry), I am still getting a crash while attempting to launch The Solus Project in a clean prefix with only vcrun2012 installed via winetricks.

Terminal output from a clean prefix.
Also, I don't get the "Fatal Error" message. The game just loads for a bit and crashes without the error message or a backtrace...

Nothing serious but maybe open few opcode bugs?
fixme:d3d_shader:shader_glsl_handle_instruction Backend can't handle opcode dcl_input_ps. fixme:d3d_shader:shader_glsl_handle_instruction Backend can't handle opcode dcl_input_ps_siv.

That's been done already, see bug 40873 and bug 41173.

OK, I tested Wine-2.6-108-g6c7760f217 and The Solus Project is back to crashing with a "Fatal Error".
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41798
--- Comment #13 from fjfrackiewicz@gmail.com --- One thing I noticed is that now The Solus Project lists "dxgi.dll" as the faulty module when crashing with the "Fatal Error".
In Wine 1.9.23 you had this line when the game crashed:
fixme:wer:WerReportSetParameter (0x39122870, 3, L"Fault Module Name", L"wined3d.dll") :stub
In Wine 2.6-git you have something like this:
fixme:wer:WerReportSetParameter (0x39122870, 3, L"Fault Module Name", L"dxgi.dll") :stub
I'll try to get the full terminal output from the start of the game until it crashes so you can see everything but I thought I would mention this in case it helps.

Please try to get a "+d3d11,+dxgi,+d3d,+seh,+tid" log.
Well, I *tried* to get the game to crash again and I do have a log with your requested channels and you can download it here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/03nccb0o7w23bqk/26_log_2.tar.xz?dl=0
Please note that the log, when uncompressed, is 32 GB large and that's just from 10 minutes of running the game in order to get it to crash with the "Fatal Error" message like before. I know it's not a log where the "Fatal Error" occurred but perhaps you might something useful in there.
While attempting to crash the game, here's what happened:
- the game's window would randomly switch resolutions. The game's window would change sizes in what appeared to be a windowed mode and then it would go full screen and then back to windowed mode. Also, the entire game would lag really, really, really bad.
- the game would also switch my desktop resolution to various resolutions while it was attempting to run.

--- Comment #17 from fjfrackiewicz@gmail.com --- Also, when running the game without any debug channels, the game spams the terminal with these two lines the whole time it's running:
err:d3d:wined3d_debug_callback 0x5d9ced50: "GL_INVALID_OPERATION error generated. Query object not found.". err:d3d:context_reacquire Acquired context 0x5d9ced50 instead of 0x5da61300.

FWIW those should disappear with csmt enabled.

Perhaps. I do know that I've managed to play a bit of The Solus Project with CSMT enabled via winetricks (FYI Austin English just recently implemented the ability to turn CSMT off and on in winetricks).
I'll try getting The Solus Project running with CSMT enabled again but one thing to notw is that sometimes it worked OK with CSMT and other times it was a complete lagfest...

Little Nightmares is another UE4 game that crashed with a "Fatal Error".
It crashes when CSMT is turned off and it crashes with CSMT turned on. Attached is the terminal output I get with CSMT on.
