Looks like wine's _controlfp_s has overly strict parameter checking?

But hang on, your backtrace is lacking line numbers.  Ideally, you
should be running a wine you built yourself from git, and you should
run it from the build directory without installing.  Then you should
get good filenames and line numbers in the backtrace.

That's a log of the game running, not installing,
and it doesn't show the error anymore.

Come to think of it, your initial log was of the game running, not
installing, so the initial description was wrong.

Please be a bit more careful with the subject line of your bugs,
and please read your logs more carefully before posting them.

The install works with wine-1.3.8-113-g9d9ce29 but not with the Ubuntu packaged
wine1.3.8

I'll be sure to use git-wine for all bug-submission considerations from now on.

The game also runs great using wine-1.3.8-113-g9d9ce29 without using winetricks
vcrun2008. winetricks d3dx9_36 is still needed however.
