Start the application from the package Ares.exe Proteus 7.7

WINEPREFIX=~/.wine_proteus wine '~/.wine_proteus/drive_c/Program
Files/Labcenter Electronics/Proteus 7/BIN/Ares.exe'

I eceive an error message.
err:seh:setup_exception_record stack overflow 1672 bytes in thread 0009 eip
7ef870bf esp 00610ca8 stack 0x610000-0x611000-0x810000

When used version wine-1.1.40 error did not appear

Hello,

can you retest with newer Wine version?
Can't reproduce neither with demo (7.7 SP1) nor profession version (7.7 SP2,
build 9151). Both start fine here.
Make sure you use clean WINEPREFIX.

$ wine --version
wine-1.3.0-335-g1afc16e

If it still crashes that way with wine 1.3.x, attach +tid,+seh,+relay log.

avp2 running on wine 1.3.2

I have the same sort of error when trying to change change resolution in AVP2
Game hangs with wine 1.3.2

err:seh:setup_exception_record stack overflow 1348 bytes in thread 0020 eip
00436293 esp 00240dec stack 0x240000-0x241000-0x340000

running Archlinux x86_64 on quad core phenom2 with ati hd5700 with 10.8 drivers

These looks like famous bug 20380. Are you running linux kernel 2.6.34 or
newer?

My problem is similar too

Wineversion 1.3.8
Fedora -13
Kernel 2.6.33.3-85.fc13.i686.PAE
ISIS 7.8 Demo

ARES.EXE dies with "err:seh:setup_exception_record stack overflow 976 bytes in

This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days.

Is this still an issue in wine version 1.6-rc3 or higher or is this to be
closed as abandoned ?
