Bug ID: 44238 Summary: PowerPoint 2000 disjointed graphics Product: Wine Version: 3.0-rc3 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: jpleonard12@gmail.com Distribution: ---
Graphics become disjointed while scrolling with the slider bars. This happens only at higher magnifications (when zoomed greater than 150%)
Graphics also do not always refresh properly when returning to application from elsewhere on the desktop. Usually this is a black screen, which can be refreshed with zoom 100%.

--- Comment #2 from jpleonard12@gmail.com --- Graphics are still disjointed with Wine 5.1. Further investigation shows that the problem occurs at all zoom levels if the powerpoint slide extends beyond the boundaries of the visible window. Whenever the scroll/slider bars are clicked, only part of the image moves, but other regions are never repainted. During this behavior, only the message 'HlinkQueryCreateFromData' is logged as shown in the attachment. This problem has existed in all versions of wine since at least 2016.

--- Comment #6 from jpleonard12@gmail.com --- Same problem wine 5.19. It must be some problem with detection of screen resolution, powerpoint assumes the screen is smaller than it really is when re-painting.

--- Comment #7 from jpleonard12@gmail.com --- Confirming the problem still exists in Wine 7.13.
Currently the scroll bars in Office 2000 apps (PowerPoint, Word) have become non-functional in with Wine 7.13 (perhaps as vaguely suggested in Bug #53424), but dragging graphic elements in PowerPoint to the edge of the screen still initiates scroll behavior that is disjointed.
